Pumping efficiency in industrial processes can save energy and reduce pollution. Pumps (that are made with heat exchangers) are a product key to optimized and reduce energy costs in industrial processes.

Currently 10% of electricity consumption in industrial processes due to pumps, and in some cases can reach 50% (BMPA 2009). It also states that with proper selection of pumps can reduce C02.

The key factors for reducing energy costs are: first, the overall system design and pump; secondly, the variable speed drive; third, have a wide and size optimization tool, and finally, maximize efficiency (BEP - Best efficiency point).
